Agricultural Advisor of the Year

Mary-Jane is a senior agricultural consultant with SAC Consulting and a farmer. In 2017, she
pioneered women’s agriculture groups, securing funding from the Scottish government to support the initiative. This effort has grown into twelve groups across the country, empowering women in agriculture and fostering collaboration within the industry.

Milly has dedicated her career to advocating for food and farming through a variety of influential roles, including with Young Farmers and as a director of the Oxford Farming Conference and the Shorthorn Society. She also engages with a wider audience through her radio show on Northampton Radio, further raising awareness of the sector. In addition, Milly’s work with No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents empowers families to cook from scratch using seasonal UK produce, while supporting mental health in the farming community, promoting food security, and encouraging sustainable, healthy eating habits on a budget.

Teresa Wickham
Teresa's remarkable journey through food and farming has been a driving force behind some of the industry’s most
significant initiatives. A partner in a fruit farm and a regular voice on radio and TV, she co-founded The Women’s Farming
Union in 1980 to save the British apple industry and improve the marketing of British produce.
Her trailblazing career includes becoming the first female divisional director of Safeway, advising Sainsbury’s on
its £1 billion corporate responsibility programme, and holding leadership roles in numerous boards and councils,
including the Oxford Farming Conference and the Royal Agricultural University and Harvard PAPSAC Committee.
Her contributions have been widely recognised, earning her multiple industry honours, including a professorship from a leading Indian business university.
