It is such a privilege to have been recognised amongst such inspirational women in the industry.

What a wonderful way to bring everyone together and recognise what has been achieved. It also inspires us all to pull together going forward as we face challenges such as food security, maintaining fair import standards and fighting for the survival of family farms. Together we have a strong voice! The evening was an absolute joy - from the grand venue, to the delicious food, attentive servers and smooth running of the awards presentation.

 I am truly honoured and over the moon! It was a fantastic evening. I really enjoyed. Stunning venue, food and entertainment. It was a privilege to be shortlisted let alone win in a room full of incredibly talented and passionate women.

As a woman farmer and teacher, I strive to be a role model, proving that passion, willingness to learn and hard work transcend gender. I hope my successes ignite passion in the next generation and inspire them to create a sustainable farming industry for the future.

I am absolutely delighted to have won the agricultural advisor of the year category at the National Women in Agriculture awards 2025. I have worked as a consultant with SAC Consulting in Edinburgh for 14 years, carrying out general farm consultancy with a specialism in biodiversity and the environment. I love my job and all the variety that it brings, working with so many fantastic colleagues and inspiring farming clients. Over the last 8 years or so I have developed a women in agriculture programme, funded by the Farm Advisory Service and this has been a real passion for me, as I fully understand the juggle that women in agriculture face. Like many women in agriculture, as my family has grown, so have my responsibilities at work and on the farm, and it’s important to give space for women to come together to network and learn.

EnviroSystems is over the moon about winning the Business of the Year Award in a ceremony which specifically champions women in farming and agriculture. On the evening we met lots of prominent people involved in agriculture (both farmers and people that support farmers in some way). It was a wonderful ceremony in a spectacular venue. The food was delicious and it was nice that the wine was included in the booking - it went down well, it was a really fun evening with the band playing after! Considering this is only the 2nd event of its kind and the importance of the initiative, "Women in Agriculture" the turnout at the event was amazing. The level of support reflects the importance of the work you are doing for Women and their roles within Agriculture.
